1. Explorace
-This program was open to all students of KPMIM and was held after class hours. Participants are required to hunt for all the clues given by each station which is located around the campus. Some of the stations required each group of participants to do stunts or face a challenge before they could receive their hint or clue that would lead them to the next station.

2. Talent Night
- Talent Night was held during the past three semester. This program was open to all Decom students. The first Talent Night was during the Jul-Dec 2008 semester where karaoke talents are sought after. Next, during the Jan-June 2009 semester, Talent Night was still looking for karaoke talents and surprisingly many male contestants joined for the first time. The last Talent Night was on Jul-Dec 2009 semester, where Talent Night was more focused towards the talent of bands who battled each other on that night.

3. Decomography

Department Information

English Department was first published on January 2001. Since it was published there was no founder that was recorded. There were only a group of lecturers who contributed in this English Department. They consisted of Miss Zarina bt Ahmad, Mr Azwin Ariff, Miss Nor Yazi, Madam Shereen and Miss Amelia.
As time passed over the months, here came another two lecturers which were Madam Nor Aidah and Madam Dahlia in July 2001. Later on, Madam Shereen was appointed as the Head of English Department around 2002 to 2007 before Madam Zarina Ahmad took place as the Head of English Department from 2007 to 2010.

The first program that was conducted by those lecturers was PIP which was only 4 groups on January 2001. Another program was DIA and PIP around July 2001. Later on, FHND and HND also were conducted among those lecturers. However, during December 2002 our DEC program was introduced in our college. The last program offered in this college was DCN.

After that, English Department had added another 5 lecturers in order to improve the learning quality. DEC program was such a demand among students nowadays. The reason why DEC program was not introduced in other KPM colleges because they might require lots of lecturers. Hence, they need at least 20 lecturers to open DEC program. Besides, the costs for opening this program also high. This is due to the high salary among the English lecturers.

Currently, our English Department has around 29 lecturers whereby they consisted of 6 lecturers who hold MASTERS, 9 lecturers who hold TESL and 14 lecturers who hold non-TESL. Our male lecturers only have 5 lecturers where the rest are female lecturers.

2.English Carnival

On 17 July, 2009, 25 students went to Kolej Mara Seremban as the representatives of Kolej Professional Mara Indera Mahkota in one of MARA’s programs - the English Carnival accompanied by four lecturers. In this national event, nine colleges were invited to take part as well as compete in the activities that were arranged.
In this carnival, students were gathered and divided into groups in order that all students were able to socialize with other students from different colleges.  A lot of activities were held such as Cheer Competition, Indoor Games and also the Language Race.  These games taught the students cooperation and teamwork besides improving their  English in a fun way.
The best event at this carnival was the “P Ramlee Night” that was held on Saturday night. All colleges had sent their representatives to act and sing songs inspired by P Ramlee’s movies. “Labu Labi” and “Anakku Sazali” were chosen by Mr Humam for our college performance. Our performance was quite hilarious compared to other colleges. Unfortunately, we did not win the first prize our P Ramlee impersonation won second place in the “P Ramlee Look Alike Competition”.
The major and most important event of this carnival was the “Cultural Booth”. Our college was given the Roman/ Greek theme.  In the booth, people played their role as Caesar, gladiators, soldiers, slaves and peasants.  The students had a lot of fun playing the carnival games and learnt a lot too from the information presented through LCDs. The College’s Caesar ( Aminurraasyeed Idiris) won the Best Dressed Male in the competition, making it the second achievement at the carnival.
On Sunday evening the students we’re back at the college with smiles on their faces and happy memories and experiences in their hearts.

Asylum is a comedy theatre about a group of mental patients from the Psychotic Theatre Unit Group that struggle to perform a play as the opening act of the new National Psychotic Institute. The play portrays how they try to do their very best and practicing their lines, etc. they performed a play that based on human life that drowned in the worldly temptations such as corruption, greed, drug addiction and conflict among the politic parties, human cruelty and more. It is a comedy yet, a performance that includes many current affairs that will make the audience give a lot of thoughts on what is happening in the world today
